Model Selection: Choose the base model or miniature you want to have painted. It could be an existing Warhammer model or a custom sculpt. Decide on the specific race, unit type, and any additional details or customizations you want.

Concept and Color Scheme: Discuss your vision for the paint job with the chosen artist. Provide reference images, descriptions, or any specific ideas you have in mind. Collaborate with the painter to finalize the color scheme, effects, and level of detail.

Quotation and Payment: The artist will provide you with a quoted price for the painting service, considering factors such as the complexity of the model, the number of colors, and the level of detail required. If you agree with the terms, make the necessary payment arrangements as per the artist's instructions.

Model Ordering: Warthog Studios will purchase the models with a downpayment of 25% of the agreed-upon quoted price.

Base Preparation: Discuss the base design with the painter. Decide on the theme, materials, and any additional elements you want to include. The base can significantly enhance the overall presentation of the painted model.

Painting Process: The painter will begin the painting process based on the agreed-upon concept and color scheme. This involves meticulous brushwork, layering, highlighting, shading, and other techniques to bring the model to life. Depending on the complexity and detail level, this stage may take some time.

Work-in-Progress Updates: Some artists may provide you with work-in-progress photos or updates during the painting process. This allows you to provide feedback or make adjustments if necessary.

Quality Check: Once the painting is complete, the artist will conduct a quality check to ensure that the model meets the agreed-upon standards. They will inspect the paintwork for any defects, inconsistencies, or missed details.

Packaging and Shipping: After the quality check, the painted model will be carefully packaged to ensure its protection during shipping. The artist will arrange for shipping or coordinate with you to ensure safe delivery.

Final Payment: Once you have received and inspected the painted model, make the final payment to the artist if it was not already completed earlier in the process. This step confirms the successful completion of the commission.
Keep in mind that it's important to communicate clearly, establish a timeline, and discuss expectations and revisions from the beginning to ensure a satisfactory outcome. â–²
